Dr. Baschar Al-Khalaf has been shaping the field of neurosurgery as a spine specialist and pain therapist for chronic backpain for years. He is certified by the German Spine Society and by the German Society for Neurosurgery. Under his lead management, several regional hospitals have adopted neurosurgical in-patient-wards.

Dr Al-Khalaf´s practical concept located in Kempten and Memmingen is based on a wide treatment spectrum composed of a therapeutic approach for backpain relieve as well as microsurgical, minimally invasive operations of the spine.
The princple of his work is to exhaust all the non-operative and non-invasive treatment methods first, and to consider an operative treatment only when conservative methods fail to bring the patients the desired pain relieve. Only then will an operation be considered.

Comprehensive diagnostics of spine disorders
The scheme of my practice is purposeful and based on a comprehensive diagnosis. On the first place is the case history and the clinical neurosurgical examination. Often are many examinations completed before you come to my private practice for neurosurgery. On these results we can build futher on. Therefore, we would like to ask you to bring the following documents and medical reports with you for your appointment:
• X-ray/CT (Computertomographie)- or MRI- Images
• Current plan for medications
• Any illness - related doctorreports (e.g.electrophysiological as well as laboratory examinations reports from neurologists and orthopaedist)
• An overview of any illnesses from you general doctor

Should there be no apparative diagnostics available, we offer these in our Clinic or they can by provided by our partners. Our Clinic is equipped with modern machines and offers excellent conditions in order for differential diagnostics to be established.
Our technical equipment includes not only x-ray and ultrasonic machine but also an opened MRI machine. Thereby, you will be provided with a complete diagnostics within a single day, without having to visit many individual Clinics or even having to change the floor. Moreover, I provide my patients in northen Allgäu with regular consultations diectly in the Clinic located in Memmingen.
International patients,
In my Clinic for Neurosurgery and Spine Surgery all international patients are cordially welcomed. My team and me are capable of communicating with our international patients in English as well as Arabic.
Once an appointment is made, your medical details can be sent to us in advance via e-mail in order for us to determine whether travelling to Germany would be necessary.
For each treatment we provide you with a cost proposal, which is based on the rules related to fees for doctors. We also offer a wide range of payment options.
